Amazon announced on Thursday (12) the start of sales of the new version of the Kindle electronic reader Paperwhite in Brazil.
The sixth generation of e-reader from Amazon received improvements in their software and arrives in the country for R $ 479 and will have access to the company’s virtual library with more than two million titles, including 14 thousand in Portuguese.
The new Kindle Paperwhite brings a 25% faster processor than the previous version released in 2012 and battery lasting for eight weeks, according to Amazon.

The device also features a 6-inch touch screen with new lighting technology without reflection and higher contrast, which spreads light to the display without being directed to the eyes, avoiding discomfort while reading.
Among the main features of the new Paperwhite is “Page Flip” function, where you can view page by page, chapter by conducting research, but without losing the point where playback was interrupted.
There are also new functions “Vocabulary Builder” and “Advanced Search”, which integrates a complete dictionary and Wikipedia, to access settings, settings and more without leaving the page you are lost or without it. The tools also compute the search word in the dictionary in a list for easy access.
The device, which weighs 213 grams, only brings Wi-Fi connectivity and allows you to store up to a thousand books, and allows also save content in the cloud. The Kindle Paperwhite is available at the online store of the Brazilian Amazon and authorized dealers starting today for $ 479.
