After the release of the Kindle eReaders family and Kindle Fire tablets, Amazon may be ready to debut in the smartphone market in 2014. According to the DigiTimes website, the first half of next year is estimated for the arrival of mobile company, already subjects of rumors for some time date.

This time, however, it seems that the plan is actually coming out of the paper: a Taiwanese component manufacturer Primax Electronics have received an order from Amazon to produce modules for compact cameras (MCCs), photographic sensors used in smartphones

The report also says that the smatphones will have a “touch technology flotation”, which can mean such a camera that recognizes 3D objects of a rumor of October this year.

Each unit would have six MCCs and more than half of them would be manufactured by Primax, who refused to make an official statement on the matter. The period cited by DigiTimes is just for the first half of 2014, so stay tuned for more news on Tecmundo on the future of the Amazon smartphone.
