Expert finds loophole in the Kindle would allow hackers access to … – Administrators

A malicious script inserted in titles of ebooks was allowing the Amazon account for Kindle users were hacked. According to security researcher Benjamin Mussler, books from untrusted sources (ie pirates) could pass a virus to the Kindle, when the files were synchronized in bliblioteca the device.


 

The virus, once inside the device, releasing access to the user account on Amazon, collecting cookies and data access.


 

Mussler saw the flaw in October last year and reported to Amazon, which said soon have solved the problem. When launching a new page for managing ebooks on Kindle, however, the failure was reintroduced.


 

The company said last Tuesday (16) that the security hole was again resolved.
