Amazon selling the Kindle Fire extends to 170 countries - TeK.sapo

The Amazon Kindle Fire will provide the HD 7 and 8.9 inches in 170 countries and regions worldwide, release that is accompanied by enlargement of the Amazon App Store 200 nations. Thus devices and mobile ecosystem of the U.S. retail are available almost all over the world.

It is unclear whether Portugal is part of the list of markets where it is already possible make the purchase of equipment. The TeK already contacted Amazon who could not confirm whether Portugal is the list of countries. The Spanish branch said however that if they will confirm the availability in the domestic market, the tablets become available on June 13.

The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 has a screen with Full HD resolution, dual-core processor at 1.5 Ghz, 16 or 32GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM and photo sensor rear 1.3 megapixel. The price starts at 269 euros.

The version has a seven-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, dual-core processor at 1.2 Ghz and the remaining specifications are similar to HD 8.9. The most basic model costs 199 euros.

Recently, the company headed by Jeff Bezos started accepting the submission of applications programmers from dozens of countries – including Portugal as TeK attested. Applications are now available in over 200 markets, which makes the content store Amazon has one of the most comprehensive level of potential customers.

With the worldwide releases announced today, May 23, Amazon makes the front of the Apple mobile operating system level – the Kindle Fire is equipped with customized versions of the Android App Store and Amazon’s Android applications – while also doing compared to other brands that are fighting for the top positions in the market for tablets like Samsung and Asus.
