Amazon's Game Center competitor expands beyond the Kindle Fire, can run on ... - The Verge

Amazon Whispersync for Games Introduced last year alongside its updated Kindle Fire hardware, promising game syncing and leaderboards que worked across multiple Kindle Fire devices. However, standard Android devices were left checked out, until now – the post on Amazon’s mobile developer blog Indicates that the technology GameCircle que powers Whispersync for Games can now be built into any game, not just ones Specifically built for the Kindle Fire. We’re not sure how many developers will choose to work with the more limited Amazon-only solution instead of Google’s recently-announced game Play services, but it’s yet another option to help people get more from Their mobile games. Of course, the service could be a selling point Also against Google’s solution as well as Apple’s Game Center if Amazon ever Rolls Out its long-rumored Kindle smartphone.

Update: This story originally Stated que Whispersync for Games would only work on apps from the Amazon app store. Amazon has since let us know que GameCircle and Whispersync for Games can be incorporated into apps on Both Amazon’s own store as well as games in the Google Play store.
