last week, the CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, said that the company’s new e-reader would be released the market in the coming days. However, before the official launch of the device, various details and pictures called Kindle Oasis were leaked from Amazon sites and company branches in China.

The information indicates that the device has a screen with 300 pixels per inch – resolution higher than the Kindle Voyage. In addition, the new e-reader weighs 131 grams (20% less than its predecessor) and its thickness is 3.4 mm at the thinnest part and 8.5 mm at the thickest area.

According to the leaked information, the retailer entered three new features in the new generation Kindle. The first is that the device will feature a gravity sensor, which is not known for sure how it will work. Another new feature is the battery cover which will be sold together with the reader. Currently, e-readers from Amazon have a battery with an average of 2 to 4 weeks. With the case and improvements in sleep mode, the Oasis of the battery, it is speculated, may last up to 20 months in standby on a single charge

Finally, the last addition is water resistance, unprecedented among all models of readers of the American company and that would equal the Kobo Aura H20 and Nook Glowlight Plus accordingly. Incidentally, the choice of Oasis name would be exactly the water resistance that the device features.
