Amazon launched in October this year in United States a new version of its Kindle digital book reader. Equipped with a 6 inch screen and setting more powerful than the previous generation, the most basic model of the new machine arrived in Brazil on Thursday (13) with a suggested retail price of US $ 299.

Beyond touchscreen, the new Kindle is 20% faster processing than the old model, besides having 4 GB of internal storage. The device also features Wi-Fi connectivity, weighs 191 grams and its battery has a range of a month, with 30 minutes of daily reading and Wi-Fi off.

Another novelty is that the new Kindle supports Whispersync feature, which allows you to synchronize bookmarks, notes, and other information between Kindles, smartphones / tablets and Windows computers. Future updates have been announced by Amazon, including a more advanced search engine and suggested vocabulary.

Remember that this information apply to the base model Kindle. Amazon also offers the Paperwhite model, which costs US $ 479 and brings native backlight for reading at night or in dim lighting. The new Kindle is now available for sale on Amazon and other Brazilian retailers.
