More a that go: Amazon is going to take the app from the Kindle Store Windows – Tudocelular.com

In August, Amazon launched a new app store for Windows 10, embracing the Universal Platform. Shortly before, the company had pulled the app from the Store a week before, saying that it is not time, more support for mobile devices. Now is the time Kindle leave the Windows Store. However, it should be final.

The company is sending e-mail to some users, stating that the Kindle app for Windows 8 will leave the Shop on October 27. There will still be an option for PC users, who can download an executable and install another version, the Kindle for PC. Like we did ten years ago.

According to Amazon, the idea is to "to simplify our approach and focus on efforts" in this app, which also works in other versions of the operating system – including XP. The application available in the Store works only on devices with Windows 8, and does not receive updates since 2013.

In recent years, the Amazon has endured two apps Kindle separate for Windows PCs. In order to offer to our customers Windows the best reading experience, we are simplifying our approach and focusing our efforts on the Kindle for PC.

If you are currently using our other app Windows Kindle for Windows 8) in one or more of your PCs, we recommend that you upgrade to the Kindle for PC for the best experience and latest features. We’ve updated the app regularly, including new features such as the highlight of multicolored, better search, and support for textbooks.

To simplify the experience for consumers Windows, let’s remove the Kindle for Windows 8 from the Windows Store on October 27, 2016. If you already have the app installed on your PC and you want to continue using it, you can download and read books as it does today. If you uninstall the app, will not be able to reinstall it from the Store.

Apparently, the idea is to go back to the ancient times of computing, and force users to download an executable to install the Kindle on their computers. Well, on the one hand, there is the advantage of this to be compatible with older versions of the system. But it does not make sense to embark with the online shop on the Platform Universal and do not follow the same path with the reader of ebooks.

there is no mention about the removal or not of the app Kindle for Windows 8 Mobile.
