Stern started with Worth Dying For: A Navy SEAL’s Call to the Nation by Rorke Denver – The SEAL’s name if there ever was one. Stern thought it was Appropriate Memorial Day reading. Denver writes movingly about the value of service and what it means Ultimately to the country. Stern was impressed, saying it was a “fascinating” read. Stern does not now want every American to serve in the war, but he does dig the idea of service – making every American serving the country in some way is the year the part of citizenship is an idea he finds appealing.
